A "ten-bagger" is a term popularized by Peter Lynch, a legendary investor, and it refers to an investment that increases in value by ten times, or 1,000%. The term originally comes from baseball, where a "bagger" refers to how many bases a player covers in a hit (for example, a "single" is a one-bagger).

If an investor buys a stock, and it becomes a ten-bagger, this means the value of the investment has multiplied by ten. For example, if you invest $1,000 in a stock and it becomes a ten-bagger, your investment would be worth $10,000.
